NAADAC Continuing Education Disclaimer
NLBHA offers continuing education (CE) opportunities for eligible Mental Health Awareness Training (MHAT) programs through its status as a NAADAC Approved Education Provider. However, continuing education requirements, acceptance of NAADAC CE credits, and eligibility for certification or licensure renewal vary by state, licensing or credentialing board, and professional designation.
Participation in an MHAT training and receipt of a certificate or NAADAC continuing education credit does not guarantee that the training will satisfy the specific continuing education requirements for an individual’s license, certification, credential, or professional appointment. Requirements may differ for licensed behavioral health professionals, prevention specialists, peer support specialists, promotores/community health workers, substance use professionals, and other disciplines.
Participants are responsible for verifying eligibility and acceptance of CE credits with their applicable state licensing, certification, credentialing, or governing board prior to relying on an MHAT training for continuing education requirements. NLBHA cannot determine or guarantee how individual state boards or credentialing organizations will apply or accept CE credits toward a participant’s specific professional requirements.
