Trauma Informed Care
June 19 @ 1:30 pm – 7:30 pm MDT
Trauma looks different for each of us, and the approach must also be tailored in a culturally mindful way to promote healing and recovery.
In this 3-part, one-day training, we will focus on the six basic principles or pillars of Trauma Informed Care as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that includes: safety, connections, and managing emotions.
We will also explain how to use this information to accurately assess patients, improve provider-patient relationships, understand what a trauma informed organization is while minimizing distress and maximizing patient autonomy. We will also discuss multidisciplinary collaboration and trauma-informed care in diverse settings.
