SNAP Under 12 Outreach Program
A a specialized, family-focused, multi[systemic intervention for boys, ages 6 – 11, who display aggressive and antisocial behavior problems. The primary goal of the program is to keep at-risk boys in school and out of trouble. The intervention is a specialized, family-focused intervention for boys under age 12 who display aggressive and antisocial behavior problems. The primary goal of the program is to keep at-risk boys in school and out of trouble. The intervention provides a framework for teaching children and adults self-control and problem-solving. It draws from several different theoretical models, including social interactional learning (parent management training), cognitive–behavioral, emotional regulation, self-control, social skills training, cognitive problem-solving, developmental, ecological, and attachment theories.
