Leader in Me, offered by Franklin Covey Education, provides lesson-based, teaching practices, and organizational strategies approaches to social-emotional learning (SEL) It offers strategies for understanding context, working with bias, youth action projects, and customizing for context. This includes training offerings that help educators grow their ability to identify and reduce bias and promote inclusion and belonging in order to create equitable and accessible learning environments. Additionally, students are empowered to develop, initiate, and direct service-learning projects to address needs in their school and local communities. The program acts as an inside-out system, building the SEL capacity of the adults in the school as the foundation. This systematic approach to SEL practices includes outreach to families and the community as essential parts of the learning partnership.
