Triple P - Positive Parenting Program Systems (System Triple P) - All Levels

A comprehensive parent-training program for parents of children, ages 0-16, that aims to strengthen parenting skills and prevent dysfunctional parenting to prevent child maltreatment and emotional, behavioral, and developmental problemsThe System emphasizes five core principles of positive parenting:  1) ensuring a safe, engaging environment; 2) promoting a positive learning environment; 3) using assertive discipline; 4) maintaining reasonable expectations; and 5) taking care of oneself as a parentThrough these core principles, parents learn how to engage in positive and supportive parenting. The first step is getting past the stigma that some parents need help and training in how to be effective parents. The second step is giving them the proper tools and knowledge to raise healthy children. The program has five intervention levels of increasing intensity and narrowing population reach. Any family with at least one child from infant to 16 years of age is eligible for one of the five programming levels; parents determine for themselves how much help they require. There are differing program activities at each of the five levels of the intervention.
