Alternatives for Families: A Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (AF-CBT)
Caregivers and their child between the ages 5 and 17 years whose family struggles with conflict and/or coercion due to parent, child, and/or overall family behavior (e.g., anger, aggression, physical abuse). A comprehensive approach for reducing or preventing the effects of exposure to child or family anger, aggression, and/or child physical abuse. The program seeks to reduce many of the known risks for physical abuse/violence while also helping families to recover from the effects of exposure to these conditions.
