SUMMARY:Trauma Informed Care
DESCRIPTION:Trauma looks different for each of us\, and the approach must also be tailored in a culturally mindful way to promote healing and recovery. \n\n\n\nIn this 3-part\, one-day training\, we will focus on the six basic principles or pillars of Trauma Informed Care as outlined by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) that includes: safety\, connections\, and managing emotions.  \n\n\n\nWe will also explain how to use this information to accurately assess patients\, improve provider-patient relationships\, understand what a trauma informed organization is while minimizing distress and maximizing patient autonomy.
