Department Summary:

The Department of Counselor Education invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the area of School Counseling to begin fall 2018. Bridgewater State University (BSU ) is a comprehensive university in southeastern Massachusetts. The Department has 6 full-time faculty and a full time Director of Fieldwork serving two CACREP programs, School Counseling and Mental Health Counseling and a Student Affairs master’s program. The School Counseling programs are in line with the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE ) regulations for initial license as a School (Guidance) Counselor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Essential Duties:

Teach graduate counseling courses as a part of a 3:3 teaching load, primarily courses in school counseling; teaching general counseling courses; and the option of summer teaching. Department faculty advise graduate counseling students and engage in scholarship and service to BSU and the community. The Department of Counselor Education is committed to fostering diversity and infusing ethics and best practices within our curriculum. Candidates should have an ability to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, work collaboratively, and demonstrate a commitment to public higher education.

Position Vacancy: Program Director-Couple and Family Therapy, Associate/Full Professor (Tenure Track)

The Department of Family Science, School of Public Health, University of Maryland, College Park seeks a full- time tenure track faculty member to serve as Program Director to the Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) master’s program and join a dynamic department with additional programs in family science and maternal and child health. Candidates should show evidence and ability to: (1) lead the oversight and integration of all aspects of the CFT program, (2) conduct an externally funded research program, (3) teach and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and (4) play a central role in developing the Department’s research and service initiatives with community partners.

Problem Gambling Services Director/Latino Services Coordinator

The Problem Gambling Services Director/Latino Services Coordinator oversees the administrative work of the Lewis & Clark Problem Gambling Services program and also provides direct clinical treatment for, and oversees, Latino problem gambling treatment provision across Multnomah, Washington, and Clackamas Counties. This position is supported by a contract with Multnomah County to provide general problem gambling services in the community and Oregon Health Authority Problem Gambling Services (OHAPGS) state allocated funds for culturally specific services.

Lewis & Clark Problem Gambling Services offers problem gambling treatment in Multnomah County and is housed in the Lewis & Clark Community Counseling Center on SW Barbur Blvd. Latino Culturally Specific Problem Gambling Services will begin on July 1, 2017 and cover the needs of Multnomah, Clackamas, and Washington Counties. The PGS Director/Lation Services Coordinator will work closely with and report to the CPSY Department Chair. The PGS Director/Latino Services Coordinator’s workweek will include one weekend day each week.
