Children's Services Social Worker II / III

The Human Services Agency (HSA) of the County of San Mateo is seeking 8 qualified applicants for the position of Children's Services Social Worker II / III in the Children and Family Services Division.

Social Workers within this Division provide a wide variety of Child Welfare Services to neglected, abused, or dependent children and their families in order to ensure the health, welfare, and safety of children; keep children with their families by providing services which would safely maintain the children in the home; arrange substitute care in relatives' homes, shelter care, foster care, group homes and institutions when necessary; develop a permanency plan for children who are unable to return home; and effectively work with a team of professionals comprised of diverse backgrounds. In addition, Social Workers in this Division perform safety and risk assessments; provide crisis intervention; make referrals for children and families; participate in processing children taken into custody pending juvenile court action; appear and present cases in court; write court reports and treatment/case plans; and serve as officers of the juvenile court, acting for and as directed by the court in all relationships with their clients.

Clinical Social Worker - Bilingual

Bilingual English-Spanish candidates meeting requirements for either the Mental Health Worker III or IV will be considered for this opening. The position is based at Toppenish Medical-Dental Clinic and may also split time at Grandview Medical-Dental Clinic.

MHW III

The person in this position will provide mental health services as determined in the treatment or care plan of the client. This person may provide counseling or case management services either independently or as part of a clinical team. Mental Health Worker III will participate in the treatment or care plan for clients in outpatient services. Assigned clients will be multi-service cases, chronic clients in need of skills training or guidance, those with special issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault and anger management, those in need of behavioral rehabilitation in several life domains to function youth who have severe emotional, behavioral and social needs, and/or children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

MHW IV

The person in this position will provide mental health services as determined in the treatment or care plan of the client. This person may provide counseling or therapy services either independently or as part of a clinical team. This person may also be the specialized treatment provider in a multiple provider plan. Assigned clients may be multi-service, chronic clients in need of skills training or guidance, those with special issues such as domestic violence, sexual assault and anger management, or those with personality disorders, developmental delays, complex diagnosis and other cases requiring advanced skill level, including expertise in evidence based practices.

Behavioral Health Consultant - FT

Yakima Valley Farm Workers Clinic is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Consultant to join a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals providing services to an underserved population in our Wapato community health center.

As part of the organization's Patient Centered Health Home initiative, we are looking to hire behavioral health practitioners to work within a fully integrated, multidisciplinary model in our primary care clinics. The Behavioral Health Consultant's duties consist of providing brief assessment, intervention, and onsite consultation to the primary care team regarding psychiatric/psychosocial concerns and health behavior change. While coordination of care is part of the job duties, a majority of the Behavioral Health Consultant's activities will be focused on providing clinical interventions according to empirically-supported treatment modalities.
